In a recent New York Times interview, New School for Social Research professor Nancy Fraser noted that “leaning in” often means “leaning on.” This panel confronts some of the most pressing issues in the workplace today: the reliance on domestic labor for childcare and other care work; labor conditions, rights and protections for domestic workers; race and class structures and suppositions in the field of domestic labor; and vulnerability for legal and illegal migrant workers.

Please join us for a scholarly/fiction reading panel featuring Victoria Brown, Lauren Francis-Sharma, Nancy Fraser, and Tamara Mose. The event will be moderated by Tiphanie Yanique. A light reception will follow the panel.

Free admission.
