As part of the Soundmarks exhibition at Art Interactive in Cambridge, MA, scheduled for summer 2007, New Media artists Zach Poff + N.B.Aldrich are seeking audio recordings of the Boston metropolitan area for Soundscape:Boston. The goal is to collect a database of sounds recorded by residents, and others, with a connection to Boston area that can then be used at the exhibition. The recordings will be available for spontaneous composition by Soundmarks visitors using the Interactive Soundscape Designer software created by the artists.
