Electra is a London based contemporary art production agency which specializes in commissioning and producing ambitious cross-disciplinary projects by artists working across sound, moving image, performance and the visual arts. Through close collaboration with a range of venues and production partners, Electra presents its projects across the UK and internationally. Electra is regularly funded by Arts Council England.

Electra was recently awarded an Organisational Development Grant by Arts Council England for marketing and brand development. This campaign will be timed to coincide with the launch of Electra's 2007/08 programme. We are seeking to employ a part-time Press and Marketing Co-ordinator to manage and implement this campaign.

Successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least two years experience in press or marketing a similar position, ideally in a contemporary art setting. He or she will have a proven track record in marketing and press campaigns and good press contacts across the UK and internationally. The candidate must have experience in managing the work of consultants such as print designers or web developers, as well as impeccable attention to detail, copywriting and editing skills and excellent communication skills. Basic skills needed for web editing and updating are also required.

We are seeking a motivated self starter, who would welcome an opportunity to become a key member of a small but dynamic team and who would thrive in an environment in which their input would be central to the organisation's development. An interest or awareness of the artists Electra has worked with is desirable, as is an interest in experimental music and cross artform work.
