Assistant Professor of Media Arts
Full-time, tenure track, Department of Art and Art History. Teach undergraduate media theory and to provide leadership in curriculum development.

Qualifications:
- Candidates should hold a Ph.D., M.F.A., or other terminal degree in Media Arts or related disciplines, with a record of teaching excellence, research and publication in the field.
- Candidates should be committed to undergraduate, liberal arts education, and are expected to participate in departmental and college service activities.
- Candidates should demonstrate computational proficiency as well as a commitment to research and professional activity at the national and international level and possess knowledge of contemporary art, theory and criticism as it relates to media arts practice.

LECTURER - Artist Workshop - Department of Art and Art History

2007 - 2008 Academic Year

Saint Mary’s College invites applications for lecturer and visiting artist workshop proposal in the Department of Art and Art History for the 2007 - 2008 academic year. The Lecturer will be required to teach one (1) four (4) week workshop for three (3) hours each week and all workshops should combine weekly readings with studio art projects. Topics also should address the built environment, sustainable design, social justice, and environmental art. Gender issues, visual literacy or new media practices are highly desirable.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s of Fine Arts (MFA) degree and a promising exhibition record in the field and significant knowledge of theory and criticism relating to contemporary visual art practices, along with evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Salary is competitive.
