How can tactical media be used as an instrument of education in developing countries?

Tatiana Wells

The first tactical media festival in Brazil was held in February 2003. It was attended by 3,000 people and it made the national headlines. Tatiana, one of the main organizers, will explain how it came together and what the outcomes are for Brazilian artists and activists.

Ricardo Rosas

Ricardo will give an overview of recent media art and activism in Brazil. He
will introduce the forthcoming Autolab, an independent media lab in the Sao
Paolo favelas, a direct result of the Tactical Media Lab.

From New Delhi, India:
Monica Narula - Sarai Media Lab

Monica is a founder member of Sarai and an artist from the Raqs media
collective. She will introduce us to Sarai's aims. mission and some of its programs, such as Cybermohalla, a free software project set in 2 media labs in working-class areas of Delhi.
