NUMBERS&FACTS

World is close place.Things are going worst and old difference and
division("democracy"-"communism",East-West,poor-rich …etc)in XXI century
instead to be determined,this(basically ONE
problem)escalate and world is much worst than ever in our life.
In our text about net(.) art(by the way-people from Rhizome take one problem
with strange passion,and then,
suddenly live that problem like they never heard for the same one,it's like
in "Children Island"from M.Kundera book"Book of laugh and forget").
MANIK can't forget this problem in segment which hit him,we started with
problem of overlooking artist who don't belong to West,or in most of case to
USA.and that's why we send you one typical structure in one typical
International exhibition.Who can't hear our words, maybe can see The
Numbers. We have no time to examine reasons for this structure,or why there
aren't any UK,China,from Africa,South America… artist,this could be theme
for other discussion…

INTERFERENZE 2006, Naturalis Electronica

With its 2006 edition, INTERFERENZE,
international festival of sounds, new visual arts
and media, is seated in the mountains of the
partenio / Valle Caudina, which it will fill live
performances, installations, projections,
seminars, free camping, artists and public.
Although INTERFERENZE is tied to the land,
electronic and multimedia arts are its driving
force: performances, installations, events,
workshops and conferences complete the event.
INTERFERENZE confirms its traditional division
into three thematic macroareas: 1) SOUNDS, with
laptop culture artists; 2) NEW MEDIA, video,
software art and new technologies; 3) TALKS,
WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES. A new section will form
part of INTERFERENZE 2006: NATURALIS ELECTRONICA,
focused on the interconnection between electronic
arts and the rural.

Manik, you can call me the Lego Man, and I smile. It makes me happy.
But Manik, we aren't here to fill in the missing areas of existing theses ('mental cruelty', I corrected your spelling). We're here to gamble, take chances and create work that the thesis writers can't account for. You always work inside the existing theory. Take a chance, you might look foolish, but thats honesty.
You exist in the New Media model and it's comfortable. Politically you take a safe position beside the new leftist critics.
But these are things we all know.
Do something that may endangeour your artistic merit, and then we can have dialogue. (taking a chance with your physical self is pretty trivial).
Eric of Lego Land.
