Is it necessary to be an excellent programmer to do web.art or do we have many kinds of web.art?

Dear all,

Yesterday I gave some gifts to three beloved childs ( 8, 4 and 2 years old >
girl, boy and boy). The boys received electronic toys, this kind of devices
full of lights and buttons and things, the girl received a Hello Kit doll.
The four years old boy, looked at the doll and asked:

- What does she do?

The girl replyed?

- Nothing and then she embraced the doll with love.

Today I wake up with a question in my brains and I would like that you
clarify me:

How many kinds of web.art / net.art we have?

I admire deeply programming web.art and I can spent much time playing with
pieces by programming artists. By the way, do you know the site of Brazilian
Programming Artist Martha Carrer Cruz Gabriel at http://www.martha.com.br ?
If not, it is worth visiting it. Here, talking in Rhizome there are many
artists doing excellent programming art and it is not necessary to tell
names and sites, everybody know them.

However, I think that there is excellent not programming web.art / net.art
being done:

- For example, how do you classify the excellent project nZNL, a drawing a
day, by Geert Dekkers at http://nznl.com/ have you visited the October and
November drawings? There are quite good questions there.
- And how do you classify the amazing shape poetry done by David Daniels at
http://www.thegatesofparadise.com/ ? See how creative is Daniels with Word
for Windows and pdf files. I could give much more examples but I think
everybody know a kind of good work which is not programmed.

To conclude I would like to invite you to visit the "angry woman" at:
http://arteonline.arq.br/angry/angry.htm (press F11 to see full screen). It
was done to Jess Loseby's interesting project Angry Woman at
http://www.d-t-p.tv/ . If you ask me, what my angry woman does, I will
reply:

- Nothing but I will embrace her with love because she amuses me and because
I got to ask many interesting questions with a very simple work .

To conclude:

Is it necessary to be an excellent programmer to do good web.art or do we
have many kinds of web.art?
