Visual Arts Residency Program

Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts Visual Arts Residency Program

Applications for the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts 2007-2008 Art & Community Visual Arts Residency Program are now being accepted. Application deadline: April 20, 2006

During this residency program, artists make a full-time commitment to collaborate with an under-served community group to create artwork based on issues relevant to the participants' lives. The theme for the 2007-2008 program is Motion, Journey Transportation: How do we get from here to there? The residency program is also geared to offering artists the time, space, and financial assistance to work on their own independent projects. In addition to a stipend, the DCCA provides selected artists with living accommodations/studio space for up to eight weeks. The DCCA documents all residencies in a nationally distributed catalogue and may schedule an exhibition for the artist.
