no more USA

what happened to that map with half of the US joining Canada. It may
have originally been meant as a joke, but this could be a fantastic
solution, if taken seriously.

it's not like the border division can never be crossed again. i'll
still visit my grandmother in alabama. but what a win/win for
everybody. Canada'd dig it, we'd get things like health care and a
country that isn't on everyone's hate list. the republican states
could keep their military, keep having these wars, spend
uncontrollably and just borrow on credit.

it's within voters rights to choose serfdom, and apparently they did.
the people could also end up choosing to keep investigating voter
fraud, and it may expose a huge conspiracy. great. but conspiracies
have been exposed before, without much effect (iran-contra/reagan,
gulf war/bush sr., election 2000/bush, no WMD/no link to bin
Laden/iraq/bush.

meanwhile though, there's another much simpler solution. seems it
would benefit the vast majority. no violence necessary, just redraw
the border and everyone is happy. the 5 or so, republicans in
manhattan can still like bush, but from afar. the bush regime is
corrupt but this is really about getting out from under a democracy
that has been replaced by totalitarianism. sure there may be a
continuing republican vs. democrat idiological fight, but let's avoid
that and just join canada.
