At 20:30 on the 2nd, 3rd September, in Amsterdam at Muiderpoorttheater,
Nancy Mauro-Flude will present her self-devised solo performance 'All Of
Us [Girls] Have Been Dead For So Long'.

Levitating upon reefs of contradiction, the revolting body explores
non-contiguous states, different selves, times & spaces. 'A girl' pays
homage to rituals of everyday life, & links these with myths having
survived in sagas and fairy tales.

First a woman is alone dancing in the corner of the stage in shafts of
light. This is an entrance to a journey to the land of the dead, where
ancient tragic narratives are transformed, people are turned into
glitches, as she dances through compost heaps, floats though digital
palimpsests, and speaks into portholes of time. She returns with a
powerful force, back into the land of the living. Survives as a fugitive,
eluding the authorities that would attempt to transform her into
death again.
