Francesca Penzani's "Monte Cavlera" on Wigged

Wigged Productions (http://www.wigged.net) an organization dedicated
to making new and innovative art more accessible through broadcast
and Web-based presentations is pleased to showcase online Francesca
Penzani's dance on camera video, "Monte Cavlera." A link to the
video can be found on Wigged's homepage (http://www.wigged.net).

Penzani describes her sensitive and beautifully executed work as, "a
wish for the power to change the law of gravity and of impermanence.
The camera becomes a mirror into which the characters gaze, in hope
of controlling the events that unfold around them."

Francesca Penzani began her studies in theatre at Teatro Viaggio and
Comuna Baires in Italy. She holds an undergraduate degree from the
London Contemporary Dance School and an MFA from the Schools of Dance
and Integrated Media at Calarts. Her dance on camera videos have been
screened at festivals and museums internationally.

Penzani currently teaches "Video for Dance" and "Integrated Media"
at the California Institute of the Arts as well as "Dance
Perceptions" at California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Quicktime 6.4 or later and a DSL/Cable modem or faster is required to
view the video.
