Interactive audiovisual environment, stereoscopic 3D projection at the
SAT - Societe des Arts Technologiques | Society for Arts and Technology

Jaanis Garancs, interactive media and Virtual Reality artist, is
currently (15.09-15.12.2003) at the SAT (Montreal) within the International Artist-in-Residence Program 'New Media AiR' co-organised with the Nordic Institute For Contemporary Art (NIFCA).

Recent participations in art exhibitions have taken place at (among others):
Ars Electronica Festival, Linz, Austria - 2002, 1998 and 1997;
Mucsarnok Kunsthalle, Budapest, Hungary, 2002; EXPO 2000 Hannover, German Pavilion.

Awards for creative work include:
Prix Ars Electronica 1998 Award of Distinction (2nd Place - within E-Lab
team), Linz, Austria; Honorary Mention - 6th International
Browserday, Amsterdam (2002). Nominations for netzspannung.org Digital
Sparks (Germany's student award) in 2002 and in 2003.
