Back 4 Good

From Jeremy Turner in response to Patrick Lichty:

I have not seen yet Miranda July's project so I cannot comment fairly on it. When I showed Agricola's project to a Digital Arts class at UBC, about 75% of the class felt that Agricola was exploiting the artists under the guise of a "curatorial project". But, I am still supporting his work because I think he is more attempting to define himself in the same way that P. Diddy (Puff Daddy) is…a curatorial artist with an emphasis on the Artist when the day is done. Agricola brands artists but is that bad? Is Poetry.com any different? That was a great example from Donnie, by the way I tend to agree with Donnie.

I also recommend the work of Charlotte Barker who goes even further by overtly stealing other artist's work and then presenting the pieces as her own without even mentioning the Artists who helped her out. And then what about John Oswald and Negativland that go out of their way to plunder copyright-protected material? What does this process say about their karmic integrity?
By the way, so far, I have been in full support of anyone I may have been appearing to slag. I abuse them because I love them dearly :-D
Cheers,
Jer
