C-level/Waco Resurection game installation at the Kitchen opens this Thursday

Hello all,
I am hoping to recommend and invite all New Yorkers to this event by
my friends from C-Level in Los Angeles:
Magda Sawon, Postmasters

THE KITCHEN ART GALLERY
ENDGAMES: WACO RESURRECTION (computer game installation):
World Premiere
Opening: Thursday, October 16 (Thu) 6-8pm
October 15-25 (Open Tue-Sat, 2-6pm) Free

Los-Angeles-based media lab C-level infiltrates The Kitchen media
gallery with the world premiere of their latest 3D computer game
(Endgames: Waco Resurrection) at the Kitchen Art Gallery. Exploring
the interactive gaming experience as a psycho-social and artistic
phenomenon, the team offers alternative (virtual) spaces for public
aggression and anxieties to be performed as fantasy. C-level appears
in conjunction with co-founder Eddo Stern's New York solo exhibition
at The Kitchen's 19th St. neighbor Postmasters Gallery (September
6-October 18).

C-level unveils Waco Resurrection, the first chapter of a new 3D TPS
(Third Person Shooter) computer game Endgames, which investigates
alternative utopias and apocalyptic moments. Revisiting the 1993
Waco, Texas episode, gamers enter the mind and form of a resurrected
David Koresh to protect and defend the Branch Davidian compound
against internal intrigue, skeptical civilians, rival Koreshes, and
the advance of government agents spawned from George Bush's Crawford,
TX ranch. Players voice messianic texts, collect followers, and
wield weapons in an attempt to advance toward salvation (or
destruction).

Part studio, part club, part stage and part screen, C-level is a
cooperative bringing together artists, programmers, agit-props,
filmmakers, writers and reverse engineers, to share physical, social
and technological resources. While constructing parallel forms and
content to the latest video game industry standards, C-level's work
also provides a layer of social commentary and critical thinking to
play, aggression and resolution in today's media-prolific culture.
Located in a basement in Chinatown, Los Angeles, it plays host to
various media events such as screenings, performances, classes,
debates, dances, readings and tournaments. C-level members include
Karen Lofgren, Christina Ulke, Cyril Kuhn, Eddo Stern, Jason Brown,
Jessica Hutchins, Mark Allen, Michael Wilson, Peter Brinson. For more
