This group of projects brings together a series of collaborations that are
formulated around the idea of a framework for both publishing and for
exchanging data, experiences and ideas. The projects are at varying stages:
OWN is still a proposal; uphone and ourganisation are nascent; and N55,
makrolab and superchannel are maturer and fleshed out with content. The
focus in all of them is on developing frames for networks and this
highlights an emerging trend in net based practice.

Still in test mode 'uphone' enables participants to contribute voice
recordings from their phones which are then accessable on the web as
RealMedia files.

'ourganisation' is a collaborative workspace, an open structure for
exchange. It is early days and so this self conciously self-instituted
structure is particularly apparent because it has yet to be used.

'OWN' is a proposal for a collaborative workspace and publishing model to
forge community links and provide a platform for both practical exchange and
critical writing on wireless networking. it is linked to consume.net.

'N55' is a danish collective focused on rethinking systems for the
everyday.These proposals range from shops based on bartering and exchange;
to a manual on soil production. The site distributes their ideas through a
list of 'Manuals' which give details and instructions on their prototype
projects.

'makrolab' is a data driven, process based project. it is a lab which
invites collaboration from both scientists and artists. Started in 1994 it
has a proposed timeline of activity through to 2008.

'superchannel' is a superflex project which provides a structure for
distributing and archiving DIY streaming projects, with a strong focus on
community participation.

This is the last update for '02 - so happy new year everyone.
