I am rooted in the smell of the ocean, which continues bring the constant
desire of leaving the island. The dreams of my youth are now walking along
solitary paths, forcing me to refuse a departure that only dig, deeper, in
the essence of a struggle along the people who has helped to recognize the
fragmented images of my journeys.

Havana Blues was commissioned by the www.markszine.com, a Detroit based
on-line
e-zine featuring the works of writers, visual and net artists.
