On August 29th, 11am-4pm, come visit the Long Island City rooftop farm of the Brooklyn Grange to see a participatory installation about the history the Universe. Commissioned by the Queens Council on the Arts, the installation by Anjali Deshmukh will move through phases of Universe creation, from the Big Bang, to the unknown end. Participants can play a series of micro-fiction games to tell stories about our past, present, and future. In return, they receive a self-directed horoscope.

At 3:30pm, join us for a reading by poet Purvi Shah, author of Terrain Tracks and Dark Lip of the Beloved: Sound Your Fiery God-Praise. Purvi will share poems on creation, stars, women, and universes within & between us.

The Grange’s LIC Farm is a beautiful oasis in the city, selling freshly picked vegetables on Saturdays. The Grange is re-envisioning what it means to green NYC- to learn more, visit http://brooklyngrangefarm.com!
