FUSE Art Residency: Chris Shen: Spectra.009 | HKG Transit

Videotage presents a two-part exhibition by UK artist Chris Shen as part of the FUSE Residency programme.

Operating in the space between technology and art, Chris Shen pursues to re-imagine the language of technology and communication. For the FUSE Residency Shen will present two installation works in two locations that play on the themes of interactivity within the landscape of media consumption.

Part one will present a version of the ongoing series Spectras in the window of Wontonmeen, Prince Edward. Spectra.009 consists of 256 custom manufactured lenticular tiles providing a unique perspective of everyday duality represented through the colours red & blue.

Part two features a continuation of a previous work Rastrum, first exhibited at the V&A Museum in London (2013). This edition titled HKG Transit, features footage filmed from various viewpoints of Hong Kong’s road, rail and ferry systems. The installation sees the cities landscape re-captured and projected at Videotage in the Cattle Depot Artist Village.

錄映太奇隆重呈獻英國藝術家Chris Shen於2015年3月至4月期間舉行的FUSE駐場計劃。

游走於科技與藝術之間，藝術家嘗試帶領我們重新思考科技與溝通的語言。Chris將會為駐場計劃帶來兩組同樣以媒體消費中的互動性為主題的裝置藝術作品。

第一組大型裝置藝術Spectras.009為Spectras系列的最新作品。作品會出現在坐落於太子的藝術家旅社Wontonmeen的大門窗口。Spectras.009由256塊特製的藍紅色磁磚建構成一個獨特的日常城市面貌.。

第二組裝置乃曾於2013年在倫敦V&A博物館展出的Rastru的延續 。今次的版本名為HKG Transit.。觀眾可以於牛棚藝術村中看到藝術家以拍攝香港道路` 鐵路和小輪的錄像片段重新構造的香港城市景觀 。
