WE ARE WHAT WE SELL. WE SELL WHAT YOU ARE

Game changing in social media revenues.

POST DIGITAL PRODUCTS
The prefix 'Post' in this sense should not be understood in the context of Post-Histoire or Post-Modernism but rather in the sense of Post-Punk. So therefore the continuation of a culture. Which, in this case, still is the digital culture, but also goes by its manifests in the analog domain, the physical world.

Post Digital is the conscious decision to dispense a final, physical product with respect to integrate latest conditions of digital media. Just like the printed book, the product (or object) is a freezing of time and information as a means and way to consider reflection. One can compare it with analog photography or a painting, only transferred to the digital age.

PROCESS
Engines such as CafePress, Zazzle, Pikistore or Printalloverme are the logical continuation of Print on Demand platforms for books like Lulu or Amazon's CreateSpace.

The selection and repurpose of unauthorized Tweets and Facebook Status updates is performed by the algorithm.

We do this no other than the platforms themselves which we apparently abuse.

i want to encourage you to use my writing and art however you want. it is just here for you to enjoy it. you can post my poems on your blog and upload my art to your facebook. you can print or republish my writing wherever you like, with or without credit. you can modify it, then publish it. you can sell it under your own name — Steve Roggenbuck, 2013

It’s a free concert from now on — Richard Prince

Remix and unconditional appropriation are key words to contemporary digital culture. The contemporaneous author writes not long ago, but is about to filter and manage data. His only act of authorship is to constantly invent better filters. The author - or editor - does not create anymore ex-nihilo, but sees itself as material processor.

A next generation has learned under these conditions, in which copyright and copyright have become obsolete, to be productive. The artist is not a producer, but a manipulator of surrounding signals.

EXHIBITION
Selected products are issued to an exhibition in the spring of 2015.

The randomly selected authors of the original texts are considered not only from corporations such as Facebook or Twitter but can be found as a product name in the network - and be part of a group exhibition which no one ever asked permission for.

PUBLISHING IS MAKING THINGS PUBLIC
