Schimiede 2005 - A work-in-progress festival for digital culture

The Schmiede returns: the silent revolution begins (Hallein, Austria, June 9th -18th)

The Schmiede05 (www.schmiede.ca), the Austrian work-in-progress festival for digital culture, is getting ready for its third show down. While other festivals focus on finished works we concentrate on the artist, the act of creation, networking and collaboration. At the Schmiede05 there will be a mix of internationaly known and professional artists from each field and lab. The deadline for participation05 is Mai1st. Till now 38 projects have applied and 42 guests and speakers have been invited and and we are expecting over 100 participants from 12 nations.
There are many projects submitted by participants who are still looking for collaborators. Look at the projects page to view all of them.

From June 9th until the 19th we will all meet at the Schmiede in Hallein to work and play. The schmied05 grew in complexity and is featuring seven labs and several conferences and workshops.
Our schedule has been posted but may vary, please check our web site for further details. A definit and detailed schedule will be announced by the end of April.
