Crisis 2012: '...drifting towards (x)' a new project by The Unstitute

Crisis 2012: '…drifting towards (x)' Episode 1

A major new interactive archive commissioned by The Unstitute to house materials collected by the urbanist CADE during The London Crisis of 2012. Consisting of a diverse array of videos, sound recordings, topographical data and other evidence, the archive charts The Crisis from its trivial inception to the veritable collapse of the social order.

Due to the non-linear structure of this 'media diary', each individual visitor's encounter with the project is unique, mirroring the subjective nature of the inquiry. Grouped thematically into an ever-expanding number of new chambers, '…drifting towards (x)' is an essential media experiment.

Offering a unique and often harrowing record of behavioural changes in the citizenry, physical irregularities in the city itself and the government policies used
to contain The Crisis, CADE's research exposes an event which might as well have never occurred.
