'The Travesty Corporate PR InfoMixer' will mix texts mined from corporate
sites like Shell, Playboy, Microsoft and generate non-sensical, sometimes
amusing, collaged texts in corporate language.

One of the 'Kingdom of Piracy' projects is 'HighBall' a mixer for found mp3
on the net. The interface shows files found from searching for keywords and
then generates a 3D mutating sculpture which acts as the mixer. The results
are predictably random but the intuitive visual navigation is beautiful. [It
doesn't work fully on a mac]

'dot-store' is an e-shopping site complete with 'view basket' which is
selling net art and multiples based on net iconography. These offline
offerings [eg. Under Construction tattoos] nod knowingly towards the
commodification of art, even net art, with a dose of querkiness. Even the
site itself is prescribed by the market with a date set to auction it off on
ebay in 2004.

We are lead into 'home' by repeated iconography of the home button from
netscape including a fantastic page where the icon has grown to a square
meter. The project develops to question notions of home and displacement. An
offline version of the 'home' icon was planted as a flower bed during Ars
Electronica at Linz this summer.

Mouchette's 'My Quiz' has been banned by the French Copyright Authority.
This dark questionnaire [on a mirror site] looks at the influence the film
maker Robert Bresson had on the creation of Mouchette's avatar and site.

Another project suffering from censorial treatment, 'Kingdom of Piracy' has
eventually found a host for this project curated by Shu Lea Cheang, Armin
Medosch and Yukiko Shikata. 'kop' focuses on Intellectual Property Rights
with art projects and writing exploring this pivotal issue on the net.

To add a bit of inconsistency: '8 bits or less' is net video mixing a bit of
theory, futurist fantasy and low-fi aesthetic, as the cyborgian future is
captured by a watchcam.
