Program Director of Photography and Digital Media

Position Summary
The Director leads and oversees all aspects of the photography and digital media programs and facility including developing the year-round cycle of workshop and residency offerings, supervising facility enhancement and planning and implementing the budget. Generally speaking, program directors are practicing artists who have a direct involvement within the community as an artist and teacher. They share an interest in supporting other artists through designing and producing arts education programs that promote professional and personal development. As part of a team of six artistic program directors representing the major art disciplines offered by the organization, the program director collaborates on envisioning and implementing the organization’s overall artistic/educational goals.

Qualifications
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Experience in the fields of photography and digital media—the candidate may have an emphasis in one area or the other with the professional capability to develop both areas.
- A strong vision and commitment to quality.
- Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- An interest in working with an alternative educational organization
- A broad appreciation for visual arts and crafts media.

Compensation and Benefits
A negotiable/competitive salary based on experience plus housing/or monthly housing allowance, studio, health insurance, and paid vacations.
