bloc has commissioned Kitchen Budapest to realise a time-based, temporary, experimental land work, in a challenging environment on coast in West Wales posing the question ‘what happens to the internet once it meets the coast?’ In response, during a 3 day residency (19th – 21st July), Kitchen Budapest will create the Coastwatch Project –www.coastwatchproject.kibu.hu In addition, Kitchen Budapest will deliver a collaborative R&D workshop (Sandpit) on the coast to create a ‘unique moment to talk, doubt, rethink and imagine our future use of technology on the Welsh coast while realising ‘Wales first ever interactive drawing robot on a beach’. bloc have invited a group of Wales-based thinkers, makers, doers and technologists to this event.
