Fist Aid: Health as Resistance -- call for submissions

The Toolshed Collective in Minneapolis is putting together an event in November dealing with the issue of health.

Health as Resistance is a Cabaret/Forum/Performance Orgy planned to examine, enlighten and make light of Our Sanity, Our Bodies, Our Eating Habits, Our Attitudes and our Sexual Strategies that keep us all afloat.

This is a call for you to prepare: a performance, a video, a word-montage, a homemade device, a song, a letter, WHATEVER.

Something that addresses questions like:
+ What is your daily struggle to stay healthy?
+ How are we going to stay alive?
+ What's the difference between health-care and
self-care?

If you are interested, please present performance ideas to [email protected] by November 1st. Proceeds from the show will be donated towards a local non-profit dedicated to dealing with queer health.

The Toolshed is a radical, sex-positive artist and resource collective inclusive of all genders and sexualities. The collective promotes consent, safer spaces, and connections between communities through art, performance and education.
