The
Fourth Annual UCSD Visual Arts Graduate Student Conference talks
revolve around the theme of the body and self. The notion of the self
and the body as either separate or contained entities has challenged
philosophers for centuries. From Descartes to Deleuze, theorists have
struggled to determine how these fundamental aspects of human identity
are related.
