The new nanomajority

For the past four years, nanomajority has served as a periodical of writing, inquiry and art. Now we are shifting gears, changing our publishing model, and expanding our offerings.

Our new site extends the mission of the original journal by inviting "residents" to work on a project on the site for an extended period of time.

We've lined up some exciting projects to kick off our launch:

ART364B - Jennifer Musawwir

Over the next seven months nanomajority will feature the women of ART364B in seven separate monthly installments. As her contribution to the project, Jennifer Musawwir provides a curatorial statement for the project.

Visually emphasizing dominant concepts - Adriana Corona

This project explores a method of displaying the underlying word distribution of a text using the text itself. Over the course of this project, Corona will develop a system to visually emphasize repeating concepts without divorcing the visual representation from the original content.

There are already other projects in the works, too—so look for more announcements sand calls for work as the site grows.
