AYERS ISLAND CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL

OPEN CALL FOR VIDEO ART:
Submissions of video work are now being accepted for the first annual Ayers Island Contemporary Arts Festival.

The theme of this year’s festival is “Without Borders”. All video work dealing with this theme will be accepted.

GUIDELINES AND FORMATS:
• All work must have been completed no earlier then January 1st 2001
• Video work submitted must relate to this years theme “Without Borders”
• Individual submissions cannot exceed 15 minutes in length
• Please include appropriate titles and credits on all work
• Individual videos must have a 3 second lead in and a 3 second lead out of black
• All videos must be *NTSC 720 x 480 resolution, submitted in QuickTime format
• Audio for video should be *uncompressed
• Finished work must be submitted on either a CD or DVDROM as a QuickTime file
• Please include an artist statement or description of project, not to exceed 250 words
• DEADLINE for submission is Friday August 13th 2004 by 5 p.m.

EXHIBITION INFORMATION:
A panel of curators will considered all work submitted for general exhibition throughout the festival. The top selections will be presented at specific highlight screenings during the three-day festival. Still frames may be selected from certain videos for use in publications and advertising for the festival. Specially selected work may be streamed online at the festival website:

AGREEMENTS:
Submission of work to the Ayers Island Contemporary Arts Festival constitutes an agreement between the artist and the festival for use of the work related to the festival. This includes festival exhibition, online streaming and use of selected images in publication and advertising for the festival.
