The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA) is accepting applications for a full-time visiting faculty member in the Graphic Arts Area. The School is an interdisciplinary institution where faculty engage with students working in a variety of media and in assisting students to work across media and disciplines. Candidates should have the ability to facilitate students’ research and production across both art and academic fields of study.

The chosen candidate will ideally teach the following courses in the 2015-2016 academic year:

GRA 1006 Graphic Arts Toolbox: Design, Production & Alternative Strategies (Fall 2015)

GRA 2001 Signs & Symbols: Branding (Fall & Spring)

GRA 2003 Framing Advertising (Spring 2016)

GRA 3005 Design Studio (Fall & Spring)

MFA required. Candidates should have a minimum of three years full-time teaching experience and a strong professional exhibition record on a national or international level. The ideal candidate will have experience working in print and web-based software and have a body of work that critically looks at branding and advertising in their studio practice.
