RHIZOME_RAW: anybody?

Does anybody know who wrote this bit of drivel? I found it posted someplace,
but I lost the link. I am also not sure if this is an exact quote.

Words are only tools for the perpetuation of other tools. One of the biggest
tools in the world is located at the bottom of the ocean. It sank with an
old ancient ship, and we have never been able to recover it. Even those of
us who like popular music can't think highly enough of old things like this.
I don't know, it's something I feel in my body. Like when I'm swimming in an
ocean and can sense that a shark is nearby. If it weren't for language I
would have been swallowed alive. Can anybody relate to this? Then there's
that whole issue of software engineering. Artificial genes and such. I know
it's a well-worn topic, but it bears repeating. Whose art is it, anyway?
Mine, or yours? I'm staring at my nerves right now, and they don't look so
sharp. I think maybe I should go do some painting or something. It's hard to
tell in this weather, though. The heat can play tricks on the mind, even on
its off days. Somebody wants me to join his band. I tell him I can't play an
instrument. He says, it doesn't matter, we only want people who are abject
fools. I call forth a prayer to the earth and sign up. Sometimes I find
myself in the middle of arguments I didn't even know I started. Such is
life, I guess. Is that how it is with you?
