'OPUS' has an open architecture for exchanging intellectual property.
Launched at documenta 11 it is an ongoing repository and platform for
developing collaborative projects and copyleft media.

'Tristero' is another project which is providing found/given material but
each month an artist is invited to make new work by recycling this 'digital
detritus'. A different take on digital recycling to the earlier 'Digial
Landfill' by Mark Napier and sero.org's 'Dump Your Trash' projects.

'MetaPet' is a tamagochi like creature living in a futuristic biotech work
environment. It needs nurturing in order to survive and to be promoted. The
project raises questions which have plenty of currency as metapet parodies
corportate habits and players acting as managers become complicit in this
fictive world.

'iconobloc' is a system for creating a collaborative online sculpture made
of individual building blocks which grow in complexity through 'owner'
interaction. The project is mapped in an interesting, inverted way based on
the intensity of activity geographically.

Five artists will be sending subscribers 'email art' this month from the
centre of attention. This project both looks back to mail art and fluxus
roots whilst utilising email as a distribution and communication system.

In 'The Interaction of Coloreds' the Obadikes are offering a hex colour
coding system to visitors who send them photographs of skin samples; #ffffff
is only for 'true whites'. The project raises questions about the supposedly
egalitarian nature of the net and about racism online.

'exclusive' refers to CNN's media spinning claims to the exclusivity of this
sickening image of a dog being gassed. It is strong chilling ascii.
