Experimental Film Distribution and Exhibition - 4th Annual ATA Film & Video Festival

ATA celebrates original, independent and underground film & video with the 4th ATA Film & Video Festival on October 21, 22 & 23, 2009.

On Wednesday, October 21, the ATA Film Festival begins with a free workshop on experimental film exhibition and distribution, hosted by local experimental filmmakers and distributors.

Festival co-director Kelly Pendergast will moderate panel and audience discussions with: Microcinema International founder Joel Bachar; SFcinemateque executive director and filmmaker Jonathan Marlow; filmmaker, curator and Canyon Cinema Board Member Maia Carpenter; filmmaker and Other Cinema founder and programmer Craig Baldwin; and Associate Editor/Producer of Wholphin DVD Magazine Emily Doe.

ATA is at 992 Valencia at 21st Street. Doors open at 7pm every night. Workshop starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $7-$10.
