In partnership with the Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC), the Town of Windsor is soliciting public art entries to be considered for two temporary (up to 24 months) outdoor installation in two new traffic roundabouts located prominently on Old Redwood Highway.

The theme of this project is “Art is Energizing the Community” and should incorporate energy production from natural elements. This project will introduce the possibility that art can be positive for the mind as well as the environment and is building from the concept that technology can also be beautiful. Examples of interactive art elements include but are not limited to wind, solar and kinetic mediums.
This will be an inaugural installation for the Town of Windsor. It should reflect and highlight the vision of the committee including its significant location in the heart of the community and its cultural relevance to the region.
The theme for each sculpture can be connected or be two separate and independent pieces. Each sculpture will be a temporary installation and will be displayed for a minimum of 18 months with a possibility for extension or purchase. See complete timeline below. Original art must be pre-existing and ready to loan by the installation timeline. Each artist may submit up the three (3) designs for each of the two (2) locations.
