SPACE are looking for strong applications from artists, designers, technologists, and creative tech start-ups to form the founding group of Associates at CoLAB – SPACE’s a new co-working
prototyping initiative.

Conceived in collaboration with open hardware pioneers, Open Desk, CoLAB is a unique co-working
environment which positions prototyping at the heart of creative practice and celebrates
process over product.

Associates benefit from an affordable, flexible workstation, a network of curated mentors and peers, and regular involvement in Open SPACE – a new public testbed and exhibition venue.

Positioned in the heart of Hackney’s emergent maker district, CoLAB is a central node in the
burgeoning phenomenon of the “Maker Mile” – a local network of artists, designers, open hardware
start-ups and art & tech enterprises.
