Call for submissions "Digital Native" Video / Film Festival @ The Front

Theme:
At a time when digital technologies are evolving rapidly and analog processes are slipping into obscurity, the possibility for re-invention in image making is ripe. We are looking for artists working in video who explore the concepts of mistranslations, glitches, and failures when combining new and old technical methods.

Important Dates:
Submission Deadline: January 22nd, 2015
Notification of Selected Videos: March 1st, 2015
Deadline for selected artists to send video files: March 11th, 2015
Film Festival: April 11th, 2015, 7pm

Entry Fee:
$5 to cover operating costs (including advertising/PR)

Please include a link to your video in the application
Pay the $5 entry fee via Paypal below


If your video is selected:
We will notify you if your video has been selected. If so videos should be sent electronically via wetransfer.com or dropbox.com in the best possible quality for screening.
When your upload is complete, send us your link for download at [email protected] with the subject line "Digital Native Film Festival Submission."
Accepted formats: .avi, .mov, .mpeg, .mp4

Presentation of the submitted video at the Digital Native shorts film festival, 2015
Presentation of the proposed video (or part of it) on The Front's website, www.nolafront.org
Publication of video stills extracted from the video in festival printed material, the festival's website and press media
Publication of the texts enclosed to the proposal (synopsis, artist info, etc.)
