Digital Media at Georgia Tech is the first humanities-based academic program in digital media in the US and offers one of the first PhDs in digital media worldwide. Hosted in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, the program covers three core research areas:

Faculty and students at the Digital Media program come from a variety of disciplines and contribute to a program that integrates theory and practice to teach students how to critique, design, and make digital media artifacts.
The masters program offers a studio and seminar-based curriculum to prepare students for leadership positions as designers, producers, and critical analysts in a changing digital culture.
The doctoral program provides the theoretical and practical foundations for research and leadership careers in academia and industry critically engaging with the design, use, and role of digital media in culture.
