Les HTMlles 11 - ZÉR0 FUTUR{E} (7-15 novembre 2014)

Les bénévoles sont essentiels à la réussite du festival Les HTMlles ! En plus d'aider au bon déroulement du festival, les bénévoles travaillent avec des artistes locaux et internationaux. Ils ont accès à tous les événements du festival, et travaillent de concert avec l'équipe pour produire un incroyable festival féministe d’arts médiatiques et de culture numérique géré par des artistes. Joignez-vous à notre équipe !

Nous cherchons de l’aide dans les domaines suivants :
+ Promotion (distribution de dépliants, affichage, etc.)
+ Évenements (installation et démontage)
+ Transport (chauffeurs-chauffeuses et / ou prêt de votre véhicule)
+ Accueil et mise en place des espaces pour les événements du festival
+ Traduction chuchotée et interprétation ASL / LSQ (pour les tables rondes et performances)
+ Tenue du bar
+ Documentation (photos et vidéo - matériel peut être fourni)

Basé à Montréal, Les HTMlles est une biennale internationale qui rassemble des artistes, des théoricien-ne-s et des activistes passionné-e-s par la réflexion critique en nouvelles technologies sous une perspective féministe. S’inspirant d’un thème spécifique, chaque édition aborde des questions sociopolitiques urgentes et actuelles en dépassant les frontières des pratiques artistiques et féministes.
Les HTMlles est une production du Studio XX, centre d’artistes féministe bilingue engagé dans l’exploration technologique, la création et la critique. Lancé en 1997, le festival a débuté en tant que plateforme internationale introduisant l’art web créé par les femmes. En étroite collaboration avec des organismes partenaires, Les HTMlles est devenu un festival multi-site dédié à la présentation d’œuvres d’arts médiatiques indépendantes créées par des artistes s’auto-identifiant comme femmes, trans ou dissidents et dissidentes du genre, dans un environnement transdisciplinaire, axé sur l’anti-oppression.

Volunteers are an essential part of the success of The HTMlles festival! In addition to helping the festival run smoothly, volunteers work with local and international artists, get access to all festival events, and work with the festival team to produce an amazing artist-run feminist festival of media arts and digital culture. Join us!

We are seeking assistance in the following areas:
+ Promotion (flyer distribution, postering, etc.)
+ Events (set-up and take-down)
+ Transportation (drivers and/or lending your vehicle)
+ Door (working the door and tabling at festival events)
+ Whisper translation and ASL/LSQ interpretation (during roundtables and performances)
+ Bartending
+ Photo and Video Documentation (equipment may be provided)

Based on a specific theme, each edition addresses urgent socio-political questions by pushing the boundaries of artistic and feminist practices. The HTMlles is produced by Studio XX, a bilingual feminist artist-run centre for technological exploration, creation and critique. Initiated in 1997, the festival began as an international platform for introducing women’s web art. Collaborating closely with partner organizations, The HTMlles has become a multi-site festival dedicated to the presentation of women’s, trans and gender non-conforming artists’ independent media artworks in a transdisciplinary environment that strives for anti-oppression.
