With "Under Voices / Les Voix de la Tour Eiffel," China Blue discovers music in the vibrations of the Eiffel Tower

Since 1889, the world has assumed they knew the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. In October of 2007, international artist China Blue discovered a hidden dimension of the structure — its sound. Using scientific recording equipment, she reveals the structure to be a living, constantly fluxing, iron organism.

This architectural wonder produces a pulsing range of sounds, spanning from wind and traffic induced iron vibrations to the hum of the steel chassis in the machine room. Interlaced with these structural sounds are the human reverberations from the thousands of visitors.

These first ever sampled sounds are the basis of the work she just released: "Under Voices: Les Voix de la Tour Eiffel," available as CDs: http://cdbaby.com/cd/chinablue2 and limited edition thumb drives: http://cdbaby.com/cd/chinablue3 through CD Baby.
