Assistant or Associate Professor in Digital Media - Tenure Track

The Department of Communication Arts at Marymount Manhattan College seeks an experienced scholar-practitioner for a tenure-track position in Digital Media beginning September 2013. The rank at the time of appointment will be based on previous academic and/or professional experience.

Description: Teaching responsibilities will include courses in web design at the intermediate and introductory levels, a survey course in new media, and intermediate and advanced courses related to their practice. The successful candidate will be an active, practicing artist and scholar with a record of intellectually and culturally rigorous work in areas of expertise that connect issues of social justice with digital media practice. We encourage applicants with experience in areas such as web design for social issues, serious games, community mapping and mobile application development, and related areas.

Requirements: Required: An MFA in Digital Media Arts or a related field by the time of appointment, a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, a commitment to service, and a strong creative agenda.
