BEAM Open Call

The BEAM (Brunel Electronic and Analogue Music) Festival, now in its second year, is looking for your work to show at the festival, held 22-24 June 2012 at Brunel University. As our mission is to explore the physical in electronic music, we’re interested in anything interactive: be it beautiful, intense, playful, dramatic, mesmerising, innovative or surprising!

Your work should fit into one of three categories:

BEAM OPEN SPACE: installations & demonstrations
BEAM PERFORMANCES: gig-ready performances
BEAM AV GALLERY: AudioVisual presentations for the BEAM media kiosk

All proposals should refer to the broad themes of music & technology, interactivity, electronic or electro-acoustic music with a live or interactive element, music produced through unusual interfaces or DIY instruments.

We will repeat last year’s successful BEAM Bursaries available for the 2012 edition, this time dedicated to UK-based Open Call artists, supported by the PRS for Music Foundation.

- Which call you’re responding to
- Description (maximum 300 words) and Title (incl. artists’ name)
- Biography (maximum 200 words)
- Link to video or audio (only linke please, no files to be sent)
- Up to 3 marketing images (300dpi jpeg images only)
- Brief tech spec (maximum 200 words)
- Email & phone contact detail

This year we are also inviting proposals for PechaKucha™ presentations and symposium papers that discuss interactivity or physicality in electronic music for the BEAM Symposium day on Friday 22nd June.
