The Media Arts Program in the Department of Art (http://www.cas.sc.edu/art) at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Media Art in the fields of new media art, videogame design, and emerging digital art forms.

The successful candidate will be an active, practicing artist and scholar with a record of intellectually and culturally rigorous work in areas of expertise that could include (but is not limited to): videogame art and design, serious games, gaming for the humanities, emerging audio-visual art, net art, media performance, software art, glitch art, or mobile applications.

An M.F.A. or appropriate terminal degree in art production by August 2013 is required, with experience in university level teaching. In addition to being a practicing artist, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate students at all levels, and be an active participant in the intellectual life of the university and community.
