Overview:
The Department of Art & Art History invites applications for an adjunct position of Faculty Studio Supervisor in Digital Arts/ Graphic Design and Photography (digital photography and web design experience necessary) beginning Fall 2012. We are seeking candidates who are able to supervise two-hour open studio times once per week in which students will be working intensively under the guidance of design professionals. Responsibilities include providing technical support as well as conceptual and aesthetic input. Instructors are also expected to communicate regularly with the instructor-of-record for the course and to maintain attendance records.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants with a MFA in digital arts/graphic design are preferred, but those who are currently enrolled in a MFA program, or hold a BFA from an accredited institution with a minimum of three years of solid professional practice will also be considered on the basis of a review of their work. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (In-design, Illustrator, & Photoshop) and basic experience in web and new media design. The candidate must be able to assist students in software needs. Contemporary design practice and a command of theory are also essential parts of the requirements.
