Questions for artists

The submission of the artist to questioning is an unavoidable aspect of art practice. The interview, the artist talk, the grant application, the studio visit, the critique, etc. – all occasions for interrogation. It seems that the very identity of the artist is constructed inside of that interrogative process.

The new website by Brad Borevitz, "Questions for Artists" invites artists to ask back: "… let's make a list of those questions and analyze, tag, rank, and comment on them. Let's make a list of questions that we would want to be asked. Let's ask questions about questions." the site implores.

Post your favorite or least favorite questions. Make that snarky retort. Give it just one star because it sucks. A deconstructive critique? Go ahead and Laugh! Etc.
