Abandon Normal Devices

This autumn Abandon Normal Devices makes a call to your wild side, inviting you to Grizedale Forest in the heart of the Lake District. The Festival will create a site for exploration and uncover the secret architecture of the forest through a programme of artworks, events, trails and film happenings.

Since 1977 Grizedale Forest’s unique environment has been an inspiration for leading international artists, who have created artistic responses to the site. Through collaboration with Forestry Commission England’s Forest Art Works programme, in September it will become a temporary haven for artists, designers, scientists and filmmakers, who will explore the woodlands, nature’s processes’ and some of cinema’s most extreme visions.

An exhilarating and illuminating retreat, AND Festival calls forth adrenalin junkies, foragers, film fans and those who want to appreciate the natural world through a forensic frame.
