Oliver Moran is a trainee at the Design School of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He holds a BA in Social Science and an MA in Interactive Media from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
His previous research work at the the Dublin Institute of Technology involved investigating the uses of information technology as a tool to promote social inclusion among a number of underserved communities in Dublin's inner-city. As a part of this, he taught various perspectives on IT on-site to the communities, especially children, as a basis for ethnographic fieldwork.
Other research conducted by him includes building novel interfaces for the design of computer games as a learning aid in the primary-school classroom, published in January 2003 by the International Game Developers Association.
His work 'Virtual Richey Manic' was included in the ArtBase 101 exhibition at the New Museum of Contemportary Art, New York.
