Rhizome Presents: Ryan C. Clarke's Shirley Sound & Further Processions, in LA with Friends with Benefits & Outland

On Wednesday, February 16, Friends with Benefits, Outland, and Rhizome gather at NeueHouse Hollywood for a night of art, music, and conversation. The event features the premiere of Ryan C. Clarke's Rhizome-commissioned Shirley Sound & Further Processions (2022), an audio-video deep listening session that considers what is lost in Black music as a result of its digitization and compression. Conversations organized by Outland's editor Brian Droitcour and DJ sets programmed by Friends with Benefits round out the event.
