Black Artist Burnout with Moustafa Hassan and Greg Ketant

Poster by Briana Griffin, Community Designer, Rhizome.

This Thursday, February 9, 5pm ET in the Discord, Rhizome is excited to feature a presentation on Black Artist Burnout, a project by Liz Mputu and m3ga, a web3 smart company led by Architectural Designer Gregory Ketant and conceptual artist/designer Moustafa Hassan, investigating the consequences of systemic race-related trauma on artists and their ecosystems.

Ketant and Hassan will cover why work like B.A.B is necessary and give a behind the scenes look into how the concept developed. They will discuss their research and process, dive into selected works from the projects' archive, and be joined by Ruby Justice, who will moderate a conversation on the importance of archiving digital artworks from black artists.

RSVP for a Google calendar invitation for this online event.

This event is a part of Rhizome's Office Hours, a series of informal online conversations about our work and digital art at large, hosted by Briana Griffin, Community Designer, Rhizome.
