This year, Rhizome plans to upgrade our online archive of internet and new media art, the ArtBase. Founded in 1999, this archive currently holds over 2,400 works of art that represent a myriad of of new media art forms, genres and aesthetics. Our goal is to make the ArtBase a more rewarding place for artists to archive their work and a more valuable resource for curators, students and anyone who wants to learn about this field of art, its history and current directions.
