Haven't You Finished That Yet?

The Experimental TV Centre recently announced its 2003 Finishing Fund grants, which are designed to help artists complete works already in progress. Out of the 20 electronic media, sonic art and film projects funded, there were 5 special awards for New Media and Intermedia Performance: G.H. Hovagimyan (DVD exploring the interactive house of the future), Diane Ludin (montage system for the web), Prema Murthy (video installation examining the philosophical and martial traditions of the bodhisattva warrior), Marina Rosenfeld (DVD of an interactive musical performance/installation), and Brooke Singer and Beatriz da Costa (performance revealing information held on people's swipe cards). Pioneering hypertext writer Shelley Jackson also scored a grant for "The Doll Games", a cross-genre exploration of doll games using
