Afterness

Afterness is an exhibition of new works by a series of artists in response to the history of Orford Ness. Featuring large-scale drawings, sculpture, poetry, audio walks, video and sound installations, Afterness presents multiple mediums in a unique setting.

Commissioned by Artangel with the setting of Orford Ness – a windswept strip of saltmarsh and shingle beaches stretching several miles along the Suffolk coast beside the North Sea, Afterness displays the works of over ten artists and their individual art inspired by the vast and varied landscape.
Afterness can be experienced both on location and online.
